Name's Aly, I am a geeky girl going to school for fashion design.
This blog will mostly be filled with things of inspiration, interest and things that amuse me.
truebluemeandyou: Reposting because photos disappeared from my blog post. What’s most popular on my blog right now? The DIY Knockoff Milk Cat Bag Tutorial. For more unique knockoffs go here:truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/knockoff
DIY Knockoff MILK Cat Bag Tutorial and Template from Make My Lemonade here. This bag has been all over Tumblr and fashion sites. Top Photo: $237 (sold out) MILK Cat Bag here. Bottom Photo: DIY by Make My Lemonade. I translated the site from French to English using Chrome and it is running quite slowly. To see the bag in an outfit/GIF post go here.
DIY Optical Illusion Wooden Gems from Fabric Paper Glue here. You only need three colors of paint for each color of gem - white and black being two of them. Really good tutorial for mixing your shades of paint plus these wood rectangles are so cheap at Michaels.
Rupees could also be made like this.
DIY Halloween Spiderweb Fascinator from The Paper Fairy here. This headpiece is made out of white wire, yarn, and a spider. Elastic holds it in place. *Or go with this more dramatic Spider Fascinator here and pair it with the DIY Corinne Day Knockoff Spiderweb Tee Shirt here.

DIY Skeleton Hands Tutorial and Inspiration. I’ve been going through my archives looking for Halloween stuff from last year and found these two posts.
Top Photo: DIY Inspiration: Skeletor Belt by Delfina Delettrez. $3,996 (sold out now) and yes it’s sterling silver, but this looks like a really easy DIY for Halloween using a few spray painted plastic skeleton hands. Go to my post here.
Bottom Photos: DIY DSQUARED Inspired Rhinestone Skeleton Hand Brooch Tutorial from Studs and Pearls here. Left Photo: $492 (on sale) Skeleton Hand Brooch by DSQUARED, Right Photo: Easy DIY by Studs and Pearls using a cheap plastic Halloween skeleton hand.
Continue to decorate my lolita coat. I thought, that it would be nice to go futher with baroque theme, so I’ve found a really awesome shop in St.P where good quality lace and other handmade supplies are sold. I got three types of golden appliques.
So, on the pictures you can see the result.
The coat is from of of taobao shops (but not chinese lolita brand shop, just some kind of shop that makes copies of MM and VM). I was lucky that it was a nice quality coat. And I’m also lucky that I usually buy plain things, so that accessories and decoration can make them look totally renewed and unique in a way.
I luv my coat now more than ever!
